Summary
This collective volume seeks to challenge the stigma of linguistic errors as a "taboo" and as an obstacle to the evolution of communication. At the same time, it connects errors with the concepts of freedom, imagination, and creativity, even as a rebellion against established structures, certainly including linguistic ones. The fear of preventing or avoiding mistakes may lead to a suspension of communicative initiative on the part of the speaker, who is forced to remain silent to avoid the public revelation of their perceived inferiority. Communication that is suspended or abandoned may equate to a concession to the pursuit of deep understanding, as well as a potential establishment of passivity toward powers and their own rhetorics.
