Description

The Hatzimichalis Estate uses the ancient Greek term "chora" to describe what the French call terroir. The soil, altitude, slope, orientation, microclimate, and age of the grape variety contribute to the uniqueness of each vineyard.

The Estate has chosen to serve a unique ecosystem, which is formed in the Atalanti Valley. It is defined to the north by Mount Knimida, to the south by Mount Chlomos, to the west by Mount Parnassus, and to the east by the North Euboean Gulf. A key natural feature of this ecosystem is the cool air currents created from Parnassus to the sea and vice versa, winter-summer.
