Without being a connoisseur but having tried several rosé wines, I consider this one to be among the top with a balanced slightly fruity flavor. Additionally, judging a wine by its label doesn't really benefit, so I believe it's worth giving it a try!

First of all, I must clarify that I have drunk relatively few wines in my life. I am not a fan of most wines. I prefer Whiskey, liqueurs, or Tequila a hundred times over.

Nevertheless, I will try to evaluate this one as best as I can. Its bottle is very simple and lightweight.

It has 2 labels, front and back. And a symbol that looks like a turkey at the top of the cork. You should know that these things cost money to produce.

So, aesthetically, it is decent. Let's get to the essence of the alcohol.

Compared to another, more expensive wine from the same estate, Hatzimichalis, which I recently drank. I don't remember its name because I had a little at my sister's house. The Rosé Polypolikiliko, Hatzimichalis estate has a mediocre to indifferent taste.

I imagine that the term "polypolikiliko" translates to the equivalent of "Blended" for whiskey. I'm not entirely sure about this matter.

However, it might be more suitable, as the label states, for food. Especially oily dishes of Greek cuisine. Or exotic, spicy dishes of Chinese, Indian, or Eastern gastronomy.

What literally annoyed me is the cork it has. To remove it, I used 2 special cork removal tools. Among them, this fully metallic one, which ultimately did all the hard work, is an expensive tool. And, of course, it is not available in every household.

I could write for hours about how useless corks are in modern drinks. There are also very serious, relative articles on the internet about this issue. And just the fact that there is an expression, "he is a cork," says it all. I'm joking!

The only thing I have to say is: I hope all corks are replaced, without exception, by screw caps as soon as possible.

In conclusion, this cheap, very mediocre in taste, wine. In my humble opinion, it is not for drinking. If you want it to use it in cooking, then maybe it changes things. The final choice is yours.

    Positive:

    • Quite well-designed bottle with decent aesthetics
    • Low, affordable price
    • Suitable for use in cooking

    Negative:

    • Mediocre taste for drinking
    • The cork, which is almost impossible to remove
