Description

The history of the Winery has its roots in 1952. The shift towards modern, quality production began in 2004, with the first and most important step being the renewal of part of the old vineyards and planting of new ones. Vineyards were replanted with Assyrtiko, as well as rare varieties of Santorini, such as Aidani and Mavrotragano.

The modern approach to work in the vineyard, the most important part in wine production, has resulted in the creation of a modern and constantly evolving winery that continuously earns significant distinctions.

  • PGE Cyclades
  • Mavrotragano 100%
  • Two selected vineyards of the rare Mavrotragano with an average age of 20 years, in Exo Gonia and Kamari
  • Their cultivation deviates from the traditional way, as the vines are trellised on wires and pruned as double Guyot
  • The pomace is separated according to phenolic potential
  • Fermentation and malolactic fermentation are completed in the tank
  • The wine is transferred to French barrels
  • Aged in oak barriques, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd use for 24 months
