In the region of Kefalas, in the eastern part of Chania, Andreas Dourakis established his winery, inspired by the memories of his childhood. With knowledge from Germany and experience in wineries in Greece and abroad, he opened his first winery in the village of Alikampos. Later, he moved to its current location, where the natural beauty of the area and the rocky terrain offer ideal conditions for the storage and aging of wines. The unique microclimate of the White Mountains has been a decisive factor in the development of the winery and the vineyards. Today, the Dourakis family creates wines that capture the Cretan land and its varieties.
