In 1787, the punishment of exile to Australia began for some criminals of the British Empire. Instead of the punishment of execution, 19 crimes were punished by exile. These wines of the 19 Crimes series honor the culture built by these criminals by breaking the rules of their time. Each wine tells the story of a person. Married with four children and working as a servant, in 1864 Jane was exiled for 7 years for accepting cheese and bacon, knowing that they were stolen.
The amazing and innovative aspect is that you can hear Jane Castings’ story through the Living Wine Labels app. As for the wine, it's a new world Chardonnay with an interesting fruity character.
