Not a question. Steps to resolve "stuck in data receiving":
This error usually means the printer’s memory is "clogged" with a corrupt print job or is experiencing a communication gap with your computer.
Step 1: Immediate Power ResetA hard reset is the fastest way to clear the current "frozen" state.
1. Unplug the power cord directly from the wall outlet (not a power strip).
2. Disconnect the USB or Ethernet cable from the back of the printer.
3. Wait 30 seconds for the internal capacitors to drain.
4. Plug it back in and power it on.
If you don't clear the computer side, it may immediately send the "bad" data again once the printer reconnects.
* Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners. Select your Brother printer and click Open print queue. Click Printer > Cancel All Documents.
** Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners. Open the Print Queue and delete all pending jobs.
If this happens often, it is usually a driver or firmware issue.
1. Avoid "WSD" Ports: On Windows, go to Printer Properties > Ports. If it is checked on a "WSD" port, try re-adding the printer using its IP address instead.
2. Update Firmware: Use the Brother Firmware Update Tool to ensure the printer's internal software is current.
3. Use Genuine Drivers: Ensure you aren't using the generic "Microsoft IPP" driver. Download the "Full Driver & Software Package" from the Brother Support Site.
If the screen is still stuck after the power reset, perform a menu-level reset:
1. Press Menu.
2. Navigate to Initial Setup or General Setup > Reset.
3. Select Reset Printer or Factory Reset.
4. Confirm by pressing the Up Arrow or OK.
I hope this helps.
