The vineyard of the Voyatzis estate, covering an area of 85 acres, is located between the Pieria mountain range and Lake Polyfytos, at an altitude of 340 meters. Since the vineyard's establishment, the principles of organic farming have been applied. The proximity to the lake (the shortest distance being 40 meters) is a strong differentiating factor in the expression of the estate's wines.
The gentle slopes create the mild relief of the vineyard, which faces from northeast to south. The vineyard has sandy-loam, clay-loam, and clay soils, deep and in many parts enriched with calcium carbonate, which improves their structure. This combination of soil and mesoclimate forms the basis for a distinctive vineyard.
