The dry red wine Ktima Chrysochou, made from the Xinomavro grape variety, comes from the Naoussa region and has a mellow character. It is produced using the classic red winemaking method, with fermentation at 28–30 °C and the grape skins left in contact with the juice for five days.
After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, it matures for 12 months in oak barrels and for at least six months in the bottle. It pairs well with red meat, pasta and pizza, as well as cheese and cured meats.
