Description

The color of the wine is intense red with slight brick-red highlights. Its complex aroma is dominated by small red fruits such as raspberry and cherry, complemented by aromas of spices, tomato, olive, and vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied, aromatic with rich tannins and a long finish. It is best enjoyed at 16-18°C and pairs well with red and white meats, grilled or cooked with sauces, pasta, and yellow cheeses.

Vinification: Pre-fermentation cold maceration for 2 days, alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature, aging on the lees for 8 months with periodic stirring.

Aging: At least 12 months in French oak barrels, 6 months in bottles.

    2015: On the nose, cherry and apricot aromas with hints of wood: vanilla and chocolate. Dry and tannic on the palate but balanced. Very nice. Perhaps the barrel is a bit intense.
