Description

Authentic terroir wine, from a specific exceptional vineyard in Trilofos, Naoussa. The 1879 encapsulates the history of the Boutari family and aims to introduce us to the multifaceted and exciting Xinomavro. In appearance, it has a deep red color. On the nose, it has intense complexity with aromas of red berries, dried fig, tomato juice, vanilla, plum, roasted almond, and light notes of cigar box. On the palate, it has a full body with pleasant acidity, as well as soft, velvety tannins that create a full mouthfeel. It pairs perfectly with red meat, game, pasta with minced meat and red sauces, and cheese platters.
