Matte acrylic paints, water-based and specially formulated for airbrush use. The Model Air color range includes the most comprehensive selection of military colors used throughout history, including colors from World War I and II as well as to the present day. Each color is based on extensive research by experts concerning existing and historical military references, in order to offer the modeler maximum historical accuracy.
Model Air can be used directly or thinned with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. It is recommended to first prepare the surface and then apply Model Air in several layers. The paints dry very quickly and form a uniform color film with excellent durability, preserving even the slightest detail of the model.
For airbrush use, the recommended air pressure of the compressor is 15 – 20 PSI or 0.5 to 1 kg. Model Air can of course also be used with a brush. For proper maintenance of the airbrush, it is recommended to use Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner.

Packaging: Model Air is available in 17 ml./0.57 fl.oz. dropper bottles. This packaging prevents evaporation and drying of the paint in the container, allowing it to be used in minimal amounts and to be stored for a long time.
