The wine-making tradition of the Daskalakis family began in 1890 in a relatively small winery housed in the family's home. The modern winery "Silva Daskalakis" is located in the small village of Siva, next to the traditional Dafnes of Heraklion. The area belongs to the O.P.A.P. (Appellation of Origin of Superior Quality) Dafnes.
