The modern understanding of the role of the school as a caring and supportive environment that promotes not only learning but also the psychosocial development and adaptation of children has provided a new perspective on the ongoing demand for quality education and psychosocial support for children in the school environment. The aspiration of all those involved with children is to contribute in this direction.
Prevention and intervention programs within the school setting concern either the entire student population or students who are at risk of exhibiting or have already exhibited learning and adaptation difficulties. Research data highlights the necessity of these programs, which have been implemented over the last decade in many educational systems internationally.
In this context, the program "Social and Emotional Education in Schools: Program for the Promotion of Mental Health and Learning in the School Community" was designed, which has been implemented in schools of all levels with positive results for both students and educators. This is a primary prevention program aimed at promoting mental health and well-being in the school community and shaping a climate of mutual respect.

The educational material is aimed at educators and students of Grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Primary School and includes thirteen editions. The first edition contains the conceptual framework and description of the program, while the remaining eleven comprise the Teacher's Book. The thirteenth edition consists of the Student's Notebook.
Each edition includes a theoretical part with a review of contemporary literature and a practical part with activities and presentation of the goals of each activity.
