The Brunello di Montalcino from Biondi Santi is one of the labels that created the legend of Montalcino in the world of red wine, putting on the map one of the most characteristic styles of grand red wines. It is a winemaking with roots from the first year of Brunello's creation, 1888.
100% Sangiovese is used, from vineyards capable of exceptional fruit maturity. A careful selection is followed by winemaking in traditional cement tanks with native yeasts.
The long journey of aging begins with 3 years of aging in Slovenian oak, as tradition dictates, being less intrusive, and completes with another 3 years in the bottle.
It ticks all the boxes for decade-long aging specifications, but it's hard for anyone to resist its richness already on offer.
