John Holevas lived a life that is intertwined with and parallels the very essence of modern Greek history. He dedicated his life with inexhaustible passion to Greece, with a deep admiration for Macedonia, and a commitment to his Science. He was a characteristic example of the national intellect that expressed the renewing spirit of his generation and its participation in Power. When national circumstances demanded it, he did not hesitate to take on public office, guided solely by altruistic work and service to his Country. John Holevas did not simply write history. He was an integral part of it. This work, therefore, is the personal testimony of John Holevas.

The work is divided into three parts: In Part A “The (Auto)biography of Him”, there is a biographical narrative of John Holevas from his birth to the present day. In Part B “The Work in Commercial Shipping”, there is an analytical description of his work as a Minister. In Part C “The Literary Work”, there is a complete list of his literary contributions in every field.
