...at the same moment, while all this was happening in the earthly fields, high up in the Olympian abodes, in his ethereal dwelling, the great Zeus was pondering something else. He saw the world and felt deeply within him that something was missing. There was a void that no mortal could fill. He observed that people were walking towards their destruction and felt that something had to be done. Someone had to stop them.

Immediately, through the clear clarity of the ethereal realms, Zeus understood what he had to do. He would conceive a son, a hero who would carry his own will to the earthly realm, and who would act on his behalf, as it was impossible for him to reveal himself in all his grandeur.

However, the suitable mortal had to be found who could give birth to the son of the great god. He had to find a virgin untouched by god or mortal, pure and untainted. But he also needed to find the right family, worthy to raise the newborn divine infant in an appropriate manner.

Many times, immortals, gods and goddesses, have desired mortals, and many children have been born from divine unions. However, here the matters are different; they carry a different weight. The son of Zeus is to be born, and so both his mortal mother and his mortal father must fulfill many rare and specific conditions.
