The "Persuasive Speech, Volume III" is a supplement to the first two volumes. The previous two volumes primarily cover the needs for topic development. This volume addresses the other requirements of the Expression-Essay course: summarization and exercises examined in this course.
The first part, "From the crucial and essential per paragraph to notes, outline, and text summary," is dedicated to summarization and the technique required for a student to write methodically, within the specified length and time, an excellent summary as much as possible. For this purpose, there are examples and exercises that will help the student understand the summarization technique and assist the teacher in their instructional work.
The second part, "Speech Structures," contains thoughts on finding and organizing knowledge and ideas. We consider it very important for the student to learn to think, structure their thoughts, and organize their speech coherently. The organization largely determines the clarity, persuasiveness, and ultimately the effectiveness of their speech.
The third and fourth parts, "Persuasion" and "The Essay," refer to the theory that the student needs to know to answer the questions related to it successfully. The theory is presented in a vivid and comprehensible manner and is accompanied by appropriate exercises for reinforcement.
In the fifth part, "The Vocabulary of the Essay," there are vocabulary exercises suitable for topic development, precision, clarity, and variety in linguistic expression.
Particular emphasis is placed on the linguistic exercises required in exams: synonyms, antonyms, etc. For all exercises, solutions are provided, which are found at the end of the book.
Finally, in the sixth part of the book, "Model Answer to Topics," the way to provide answers to various types of questions-topics asked in exams is presented as an example, because what matters is not only what we write but also how we write it.
