This book serves as a supplement to the school textbook Social and Political Education for the 5th Grade of Primary School. In a simple and methodical way, it helps students familiarize themselves with concepts such as: democracy, human rights, pluralism, the rule of law, participation, decision-making, and more. Its goal is to help them realize the importance of being active and responsible citizens and to prepare them for their integration into society.

The structure of the book is as follows:
- The main points of the lesson, where the key points of the syllabus are presented with the necessary explanations.
- Answers to the questions-activities of the school textbook.
- Comprehension questions ("I check my knowledge"), the answers to which are found at the end of the book.
- Additional information for each lesson, in the form of notes and excerpts (from newspapers, books, websites, etc.).
- Examples of Work Plans, with suggestions on how to construct them, which can be carried out by students in collaboration with each other, with their teachers, with their families, and with the municipality to which they belong, and are found in the Appendix of the book.
