This review is about blade length: 40.6 cm, power: -

For Makita, a big disappointment... In the first test, I felt like I had bought a used machine.

The log I cut had a width greater than the blade, but the truth is that as I was cutting the log, I hardly struggled at all. It sliced the large log I found on the road with great ease. The problem was when I started cutting those slices - rings that were created. I couldn't cut them with anything; it seemed like the chain was ready for the trash. I don't know if the fibers of the log played such a big role, but I don't justify it at all. It's inconceivable that it can't cut the fibers - the interior of those rings that were created.

If there is a better chain, it definitely needs to be replaced as soon as possible. If you don't use it often, you can leave it as it is, but it will give you trouble.

I replaced a Husqvarna 334T gas-powered saw that cut like butter through as many rings as it managed to cut before it gave up because I hadn't put oil in it as it was a gas-powered - two-stroke, and the difference was truly huge.

In any case, since the use I will make of it is rare, like it or not, I will keep it and I will struggle.

You will definitely feel its weight in your hand because cutting is not easy. It cuts hard enough, and you have that weight to deal with...

Its power is good, and it won't give you trouble.

Comments I read about it being silent are not true. You can't cut whenever you want. It does make noise, but that is the last thing you will care about.

    Verified purchase

It starts smoothly, doesn't kick easily, has electronic control with various protections, which are very helpful in practice.

It comes with a second chain, blade cover, 4mm round file with guide, 1L of rapidly biodegradable oil, metal storage case.

The only other thing someone needs to easily and safely cut their trees is to know the details of sharpening and cutting techniques, which are available online.

I cut and chopped two dried walnut trees (Φ80, h=14m and Φ60, h=8m) without any problem.
I recommend it as the best electric chainsaw widely available in the Greek market.

    UPDATE 16/8/2021:
When it was time for a new chain, I did some research and finally bought the Oregon VersaCut 91VXL56.
The cutting speed was higher compared to the speed of the previous chain and it grabbed more strongly, making the use more efficient.
