And suddenly one morning, I put water in the container and before I put coffee, before I press the On/Off button, the water starts pouring on the kitchen counter and then on the floor.
And I go to the bathroom, but the light doesn't turn on.
I go to another room, the light doesn't turn on there either.
Conclusion: all houses should have a surge protector relay because if mine didn't have one, you wouldn't have read all this now. Return to the store for replacement or refund

Update Review: After four months, the bottom part of the jug cracked and eventually broke. I don't know if it was due to the way I used it, I don't recall mishandling it with particular care, just know that those of you who buy it because it's worth it as a coffee maker, apart from what happened to my model, don't mistreat the jug too much.
