The advantage that brushless motors have over brushed ones is that they do not have friction since there are no carbon brushes. Without carbon brushes, the motors are more efficient and have a longer lifespan as there is no wear (the carbon brushes in brushed motors wear out with use). They produce less noise, maintain constant torque at all speeds, do not overheat, and require no maintenance.

5 years of use without any service and without any problems. I use it for pruning boxwood and lemon cypress. Of course, if I were to buy again, I would choose a gasoline-powered one due to the hassle of the cable with the extension cord. Other than that, it's a very good choice.
