The Teeling Family is one of the first families in Ireland to engage in Whiskey production, dating back to 1782. Teeling is an Irish Whiskey made from an unusual blend of 95% corn and 5% malted barley that has undergone triple distillation and matured exclusively in French oak barrels that previously aged Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California, producing a truly unique Irish whiskey. The use of corn imparts a slightly sweet flavor, which, combined with the column distillation process, provides a light and smooth taste. The use of Cabernet Sauvignon barrels gives aromas of red fruits and sweet spices, along with a distinctive tannic character.
