Blue (παλιά ήταν οι Green): δίσκοι για Backup στις 5400RPM, χαμηλών επιδόσεων, σχετικά φθηνοί
Black: υψηλών επιδόσεων, πιο ακριβοί
Red:για χρήση σε NAS
Purple: για χρήση σε καταγραφικό
