    The review is made for the connection of a mini display and VGA to a Mac mini 2014, and an LG L194W monitor.
    Apple clearly states that with a mini display and VGA adapter, any VGA monitor can be used.
    When the connection was made, the screen flickered. I tried resetting with the buttons, "power" oprtion+command+P+R and it seemed like something happened at first, but after a while it started again.
    I tried it with a Sony SDM-S73 and it works fine, and the settings can be adjusted through Big Sur.
    This means that it is a matter of luck when buying an unauthorized Apple adapter, and the genuine one costs 30 euros as I saw here, so it's better to get a new monitor.
    It was returned on the same day.
