Metal, Charcoal (optional)

Grease Filter Material

Metal

They are used in most extractors. Metallic filters are easy to remove and clean, either in the dishwasher or by hand. They do not require frequent replacement.

Charcoal (optional)

Carbon filters are used when range hoods operate without a duct connection and the air is recirculated into the room.

They are not washable and it is recommended to replace them every 4 months.

Their use reduces the efficiency of the range hood by about 30%.

Extraction Mode

Extraction or Recirculation

Extraction Mode

Concerns the way in which the extractor absorbs air.

Extraction or Recirculation

The extractor fan has both functions. The air that the extractor fan draws can either be extracted through a pipe or recycled back into the fan. For air extraction function, a pipe is needed to remove the air outside the kitchen.

Extraction Power (Max)

600 m³/h

Extraction Power (Max)

Displays the maximum absorption capacity. To calculate the required absorbency, knowledge of the dimensions of the kitchen space is necessary.

For example, for a 7 sqm kitchen, the required absorption power is approximately 200m³/h, for 12 sqm it is approximately 340m³/h, and for 15 sqm it is 420m³/h and above.

Energy Label

Energy Class

A

Energy Class

The energy class categorizes devices into groups according to the current they consume, ranging from the lowest D to the highest A+++.

2. The higher the energy class, the lower the electricity consumption.

3. For example, for a 12 sq.m. kitchen with an extractor fan that has an absorption power of about 340m³/h and frequent weekly use, the difference in annual cost from D to A is about €6, and from A to A+++ the difference is almost negligible.

Average Energy Consumption per Year

52 kWh/y

Extraction Flow Efficiency

A

Extraction Flow Efficiency

Expresses how effective the extractor is in absorbing odors. 2. The performance scale starts at G for less efficient extractors and goes up to A for more efficient ones. 3. Typically, a rating of D and above is a good performance for effectively absorbing odors from cooking.

Lighting Efficiency

D

Lighting Efficiency

Expresses the intensity of the hood's lighting. The scale starts from G for the lowest performance where the lighting is quite soft, up to A for the highest performance where the lighting is more intense. It is usually recommended to have a lighting performance index of C or higher to facilitate cooking with more intense lighting.

Fat Retention Efficiency

B

Fat Retention Efficiency

Shows how effectively the filters of the extractor work in retaining fat.

The scale starts from G for the lowest performance, up to A for the highest performance.

A performance rating of C and above is considered satisfactory for fat retention during cooking.

Noise Level

65 dB

Noise Level

Shows how much noise the extractor makes when it is in operation.

2. The fewer the db, the quieter it is. An extractor with 58db or less is considered quite quiet.
