The OWC Aura SSD model is available in three capacities (240GB, 480GB, and 960GB). The drives are equipped with durable, asynchronous Tier 1 MLC memory and efficient SandForce SF228 controllers (240GB and 480GB) or Silicon Motion SM2246EN (960GB). This configuration allows for maximum read and write speeds of up to 503MB/s. The ECC error correction system used for the OWC Aura drives can correct up to 66-bit for each 1024-byte sector.

The drives also support data encryption with AES 256-bit standard.

Compatibility:

  • iMac 21.5” October 2012 (Model ID: iMac13,2 2.9GHz, 3.2GHz, 3.4GHz)
