The Forensics Detectors FD-CAR001 standalone carbon monoxide detector detects CO in vehicles and aircraft, including from exhaust leaks or contaminated air entering the cabin. It uses a Japanese-made electrochemical sensor and operates by diffusion, without a pump. It alerts you to CO concentrations of 9 ppm with a red light and 25 ppm with an audible alarm and vibration.

It is operated with a single button and can be mounted using a 3M adhesive base. It has a detection range of 9 to 999 ppm, a response time of up to 30 seconds, and a sensor life of 5 years. It has been tested at high altitudes for use in aircraft.
