Terrain Footprints compatible with Warhammer 40,000® 11th Edition
Green Stuff World's “Glasspack Footprints” are 1 mm-thick transparent terrain bases designed to clearly mark the footprints of buildings, ruins, walls and other key terrain features in games compatible with Warhammer 40,000® 11th Edition. As the new 2026 edition moves away from traditional circular objective markers and places much greater emphasis on terrain footprints, clearly marking areas on the battlefield is more important than ever—for objective control and mission clarity, as well as resolving line-of-sight issues.
Made from fully transparent, flexible, shatter-resistant “glasspack” plastic, these terrain templates let you define the exact playable area for each piece of scenery without obscuring the design of your gaming mat. Unlike MDF, neoprene and other opaque alternatives, they preserve the look of the battlefield while avoiding raised edges that could make it difficult to position or move models. Their low-profile design makes them highly practical for competitive play, friendly games, clubs and tournaments, where consistency, quick setup and easy storage are essential.
Each terrain base features printed white outlines, keeping the boundaries of each terrain zone clearly visible during play. This helps reduce uncertainty when checking whether a unit is within ruins, benefits from cover, controls an area or interacts with terrain features relevant to specific missions. This is especially useful in 11th Edition, where terrain and mission structure are more closely linked, armies may have different primary objectives, and recommended terrain layouts are designed around specific area sizes and battlefield zones.
These transparent bases work especially well on dark gaming surfaces—such as urban environments, ash landscapes or grey surfaces—where the white outline remains visible without making the table look cluttered.
