Pre-painted, foldable L-shaped ruins for competitive Warhammer 40,000
These foldable, pre-painted L-shaped ruins are designed to be compatible with competitive Warhammer 40,000 games. They provide reliable line-of-sight-blocking cover, make excellent positions for your units, and have a clean, consistent footprint on the table—ideal for modern Matched Play games. Built for quick setup and easy transport, they’re perfect for tournament organisers, clubs, and players looking for practical terrain with a polished appearance, ready to use from the very first game. They are also fully compatible with other 28–32mm-scale sci-fi games, such as Kill Team, Necromunda, Infinity, Deadzone, Core Space, Stargrave, and Zombicide: Invader.
Each ruin comes fully painted in neutral sci-fi colours, with weathering effects to suit any Warhammer 40k army or battlefield theme. Once assembled, they’re ready to play as soon as you take them out of the box.
These Matched Play terrain pieces require simple initial assembly. We recommend using PVA glue, which works exceptionally well on MDF wood, creating strong yet flexible joints that can withstand frequent folding. We do not recommend using cyanoacrylate (super glue), as it may cause parts to detach or become damaged over time.
The L-shaped ruin is also reversible: you can assemble it with the “L” facing either left or right. This lets you create mirrored layouts, adjust firing lanes, and keep your terrain placement flexible without needing extra pieces. Please note that once permanently glued, the ruin will remain in that configuration (facing right or left).
To avoid a uniform look on your table, the set includes optional removable wall sections. Keep the panels intact for a clean, competitive appearance, or remove the pre-cut sections to add battle damage and variety—each ruin can be customised to your liking in just seconds.
This pre-painted terrain is made from durable MDF wood and will instantly upgrade your gaming table, offering practical functionality for competitive play, excellent aesthetics, and easy transport.
