The Bayer Decis Trap Ceratitis trap attracts and kills the Mediterranean fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata) using the “attract & kill” method. It releases food attractants, while its inner surface is impregnated with deltamethrin, 0.015 g per trap, and it contains 8.33 g of attractant substances.
It is used on citrus, apple, pear and nectarine trees, and grapevines. Place 5–8 traps per 1,000 m², on a branch at a height of 1.40–1.80 m, preferably on the south or southeast side of the tree and out of direct exposure to intense sunlight. Protection lasts 120 days. One application per season is recommended, from fruit development until harvest, 30–40 days before the fruit changes colour, or when the first adult insect is caught in monitoring traps. The insecticide remains inside the trap and does not come into contact with the fruit or foliage. No pre-harvest interval is required.
