The formula combines the primary enzyme for histamine breakdown with vitamins that act as cofactors in the process, using acid-resistant capsules.

Diamine oxidase (DAO 180,000 HDU) is the primary enzyme responsible for breaking down histamine in the digestive tract. People with histamine intolerance often have a deficiency or reduced activity of this enzyme, resulting in histamine from food building up and symptoms developing (headache, itching, digestive discomfort). The DAO in this supplement is extracted from peas (Pisum sativum), making it vegan. Its high activity of 180,000 HDU (Histamine Degrading Units) provides strong support. The capsules are acid-resistant (contain pectin), which is essential for this product as it protects the enzyme from breaking down in the stomach and ensures its release and activity in the small intestine.

Vitamin B6 is an important cofactor for many enzymes, including DAO, contributing to their optimal function and helping to reduce fatigue. Vitamin C supports the normal function of the immune system and may also play an indirect role in histamine metabolism.

Recommended Use
For adults over 18 years of age, take up to 3 capsules daily with plenty of water, immediately before meals (to allow the enzyme to mix with histamine from food).
