Microfibers are very fine artificially created fibers, usually made from polyester or polyamide, and are twice as fine as silk fiber, three times as fine as cotton fiber, eight times as fine as wool, and one hundred times finer than human hair. Products made from microfibers are incredibly soft to the touch and very lightweight.

Their structure provides excellent drape, and the quilt is very light like down, hugs the body, and offers coolness and comfort during the summer months, keeping the skin dry and cool. In winter it acts as a very good insulator without giving a feeling of coldness. It is easy to use as it is machine washable.
