Oxalis versicolor 'Golden Cape' (also known as Candy Cane Sorrel or Wood Sorrel) is a unique, collectible small bulb. The indication I (or Size 1) represents the highest quality size category for this species, ensuring excellent germination.

Its buds resemble twisted "candy canes" with vivid red and yellow stripes. When they open in the sun, they reveal golden-yellow funnel-shaped flowers with a red outline. The flowers fully open during the day in sunlight and close at night or on cloudy days.

It has very low, compact foliage reaching only 5 to 15 centimeters in height. It is planted in autumn (September to November). Ideal use is in small pots on the balcony or patio, in rock gardens, and low flower beds.

• Requires light, sandy soil with excellent drainage.
• Blooms from late summer to early winter (October - November).
• Plant at a depth of about 5 centimeters with the pointed side of the bulb facing upwards.
• Cold tolerance: moderately frost resistant (survives approximately down to -5°C).

For rich and impressive clusters, plant 5-10 bulbs together in each small pot.
