The Gamateh cylinder leak detector measures the amount of leakage in an engine cylinder and helps identify its source. The twin pressure gauges display the leakage percentage and cylinder pressure, while the 2-1/2" inlet pressure gauge is used to set up the test.
It detects common engine faults, such as worn piston rings or valves, cracks in the cylinder head, and blown head gaskets. It is suitable for petrol engines with 10, 12, or 14 mm spark plugs, as well as for testing trucks and modern cars with limited space. To compare results, a suspected cylinder can be tested against a known good cylinder in the same engine.
