Apart from being a fairly quiet and efficient 20-liter unit with low power consumption (DC inverter fan) and a relatively large tank (4 liters), I think it is also the best-looking white one among all the 20-liter models on the market. The 10-year warranty on the compressor and the 5-year warranty on the other parts, with proof of purchase, are also a plus—presumably indicative of the quality... I’ve never had a dehumidifier in my own space before, so I’ll go into a little more detail and hopefully be useful to first-time buyers.
It started doing its job within the first few hours of operation. I started with a target humidity of 50%, and a week later, after everything had “dried out,” I set it to 55% - Auto - Low fan - Ionizer, where it runs 24/7, fluctuating from 58% ON to 52% OFF.
When (and if) it reaches the desired humidity, it operates intermittently in ON-OFF-ON phases, with a 50-50 duration, I’d say; it also depends on the weather, of course, so its power consumption isn’t high. With a rated power of 270W (I saw between 220W and 280W on my meter), this translates very roughly to an increase of about €30/month on the electricity bill if it runs continuously. It’s very important that now that the space is relatively dry, I use less energy for heating—in other words, the house warms up noticeably faster! So factor that in as well.
I don’t know whether the tank will work for you. In a southern coastal area, in a ground-floor space of about 80 sq. m. built in 1985, without any particular insulation, it would fill up during the day and the unit would stop, so I’ve placed it permanently on a small table/flat stool, with pieces of thick carpet on top for the wheels to rest “quietly” on. I also used the spiral drain hose, leading into a 20-liter bucket that I put under the table, with a large, deep plastic plant saucer under the bucket for extra protection in case of an “accident”... because it no longer stops automatically when it fills up.
At the low airflow setting, you can hear it very faintly from 2–3 meters away. At the high setting it’s louder, but not too annoying. When it goes into standby and when it restarts, you can hear a click, presumably from a relay or solenoid valve, which is a little louder when it switches off than when it starts.
The package includes 1 very thin activated carbon filter, the spiral hose, and the user manual.
It does NOT have a HEPA filter, but I don’t mind; I can add an aftermarket one at any time if needed.
I haven’t found anything serious that I dislike, perhaps only that the cable is just 1.5 m long and that there’s no handle for lifting it when you want to move it. Basically, it has just one (1!) rudimentary recessed handle with room for 3 fingers, high up on the air-intake side, in the center above the filter, and you can’t grab it anywhere else with your other hand except underneath. But it has sturdy wheels for moving it around, so OK.
In the app (Smart Life or Tuya), you can see the temperature of the room where the dehumidifier is, as well as the humidity. It also has an additional mode (Sleep) that isn’t available on the touch buttons on the unit’s control panel, which has only 2 modes: Auto and Strong. In Sleep mode, all the indicator lights turn off and the fan drops to low speed, while still allowing you to select the humidity level you want—something you can’t do in Strong mode (clothes-drying mode), where it runs continuously at full power and only lets you change the airflow speed. If you put it next to the drying rack (November—with 20–21°C indoors) in Strong mode with high airflow, it completely dries an 8 kg load of laundry in 6–7 hours.
Its price (€199) is also very good compared with what it offers as a modern, brand-new model, up against relatively “outdated” competition. I’m giving it 5 stars for now! Time will tell, of course...
