Description

Description

Barbaresco D.O.C.G. belongs to the very important appellations of Italy. The area's potential for producing quality wines is lost in the depths of centuries. In modern Italian wine reality, it was recognized as D.O.C. in 1966 and in 1980 it was upgraded to D.O.C.G., the highest legal distinction. The area is defined by the vineyards around the communities of Neive, Treiso, and the vineyards on the hills around the city of Alba.

Aging requires at least two years of maturation, one of which must be in a barrel. The Nebbiolo variety is exclusively used in the production of wines labeled as Barbaresco D.O.C.G.

Quite a soft and mild wine, with hints of orange peel that together with the distinctive earthy character form its unique taste characteristics.
