The BERNY AM439M is an automatic diving watch designed around three core principles: good legibility, durable construction, and functions inspired by dive watches.
The black case is complemented by strategically placed orange accents on the hands and minute track. The contrast is not only aesthetic but also makes it easier to quickly identify important information on the dial.
The two crowns positioned on the right side and the internal rotating bezel give the model a distinctive personality, different from the layout of a conventional dive watch with an external bezel.
Miyota 8215 – Japanese automatic movement
Inside the BERNY AM439M is the Miyota 8215, a well-known Japanese automatic movement used in a wide range of watches. The movement allows both automatic and manual winding.
The manufacturer states an operating accuracy of approximately -20 to +40 seconds per day. As a mechanical movement, the watch’s operation does not depend on a quartz battery.
Black case with orange accents
The personality of the AM439M model is largely defined by the combination of black, white, and orange. Large markers stand out against the dark dial, while orange is used on the minute hand, second hand, and in certain areas of the internal bezel. At 3 o’clock there is a date window discreetly integrated between the dial markers.
The result is the look of a sporty instrument, where information can be read quickly without multiple indicators or unnecessary decorative elements.
60-minute internal rotating bezel
Instead of a traditional external bezel, the BERNY AM439M uses a rotating ring positioned inside the watch, beneath the crystal. The 60-minute scale can be used to track a time interval and is controlled by one of the two side crowns.
This construction also contributes to the model’s distinctive appearance: the outer case remains round and clean, while the scale is protected beneath the crystal.
Sapphire crystal with internal AR anti-reflective coating
The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with an AR coating applied on the inner side. Sapphire offers high scratch resistance, while the anti-reflective coating reduces reflections and improves dial legibility under various lighting conditions.
BERNY also uses sapphire for the transparent case back window, allowing the Miyota 8215 movement and the automatic rotor to be observed during operation.
Super Luminous for visibility in low light
The hands and hour markers are equipped with luminous material. The generous surfaces of the hands allow light to be stored and make it easier to read the time when lighting levels decrease. The orange elements further contribute to the model’s instrument-like appearance.
Screw-down crowns and 200M water resistance
The BERNY AM439M features screw-down crowns, an important characteristic for the construction of a watch with high water resistance.
