The Fanar M12 machine tap cuts a metric coarse thread in blind holes and is designed for stainless and acid-resistant steels. It has a right-hand thread and is made of cobalt-alloyed HSSE high-speed steel, offering increased heat and wear resistance.

Vacuum heat treatment contributes to the tool’s high hardness while maintaining its ductility. The HL coating (TiAlN + WC/C) increases surface hardness to approximately 3000 HV.
