Description & Specifications

Η Vintage ICON V6MRHDX Summer of Love

American Alder Body Construction & Distressed Artwork

The body of the instrument is based on the traditional double-cutaway V6 platform and crafted from select solid American alder (Solid American Alder). This wood provides a balanced tonal response across the full frequency spectrum, with an emphasis on clear mids, tight lows and sparkling highs. The body features ergonomic comfort contours (belly cut and forearm contour) for a secure fit against the player’s body. The guitar is finished with the iconic hand-painted Summer of Love graphic, given an extensive artificial aging treatment in the Distressed style from the ICON series.

Hard Rock Maple Neck, Reverse Headstock & Rosewood Fingerboard

The neck is made from Hard Rock Maple and joins the body with a four-bolt Bolt-On connection. It is shaped to the traditional Soft C profile, offering natural palm support and comfortable thumb placement. It features a Reverse Headstock, which changes the overall string path beyond the nut, increasing the length of the wound bass strings for a tighter attack and shortening the treble strings for easier string bends. The Rosewood fingerboard features a historic 7.5" (190 mm) radius, a 25.5" (648 mm) scale length, and 21 Medium Profile frets.

Wilkinson WVS Electronics, Bukka Switch Circuit & WVC Hardware

The electrical system features three Wilkinson WVS Vintage Voiced single-coil pickups with Alnico V magnets and staggered polepieces. The middle pickup has reverse winding and polarity (RWRP) to cancel hum in selector positions 2 and 4. In addition, the second tone pot incorporates the innovative Bukka Switch (push-push technology), which activates an internal dummy coil beneath the pickguard, completely eliminating 50Hz/60Hz hum in the single-coil positions (1, 3, 5) without altering the single-coil tone. The hardware includes a Wilkinson WVC Vibrato 6-point synchronized tremolo with pressed steel saddles and Wilkinson Deluxe WJ55D E-Z-Lok tuners with dual-hole shafts, providing stable tuning and accurate intonation.
