Tempered glass is a hardened glass, specially made to cover and protect the tablet screen from scratches and other damage. It does not affect the screen’s functionality. In the event of a fall, it does not guarantee that the screen will not break along with it; however, it provides additional protection.

It has adhesive across its entire surface, unlike edge glue protectors that have adhesive only around their perimeter. This helps it fit better and allows the touchscreen to function without issues. It also prevents dust from getting underneath, something that can happen with edge glue protectors when the perimeter adhesive wears out.
