According to the new examination method as defined by Official Gazette No. 4545/5-8-2024
Latin language and literature, together with Ancient Greek language and literature, constitute the two solid pillars upon which European civilization was historically built. The Latin course familiarizes students with the Latin language/literature and can contribute to their awareness of its close relationship with the other, the Ancient Greek, aspect of classical education. Through this contact, they realize that the image of our past has passed through the filter of Roman reception that preceded it.
