According to the new examination method as defined by Official Gazette No. 4545/5-8-2024

Latin language and literature, together with Ancient Greek language and literature, constitute the two solid pillars upon which European civilization was historically built. The Latin course familiarizes students with the Latin language/literature and can contribute to their awareness of its close relationship with the other, the Ancient Greek, aspect of classical education. Through this contact, they realize that the image of our past has passed through the filter of Roman reception that preceded it.

The aim of this book is:

  • To help 11th grade students, Humanities Orientation Group, in their timely and systematic preparation through properly structured written assessment tests.
  • To provide colleagues who teach the subject with the ability to organize their work in the classroom more effectively, selecting the types of exercises they would like without losing valuable time.

Overall, it includes:

  • 15 Assessment Tests, one for each lesson of the examinable syllabus.
  • 8 Revision Tests on sections of the syllabus and on the entire syllabus overall.
  • Appendix with closed- and open-ended questions on the new introduction, according to the new 11th grade syllabus.
  • Appendix with stereotypical Latin phrases in sentence context in Modern Greek.
  • Answers to all questions in the Assessment Tests, the Revision Tests, and the closed- and open-ended questions on the new introduction.

The structure of the Assessment Tests, the Revision Tests, and the Questions in the new introduction is adapted to the examinable syllabus of the 11th grade, as defined by Official Gazette No. 4545/5-8-2024.
