How to Choose the Correct Diameter

The filter diameter must match the diameter of your lens thread. This value is indicated on the lens or cap, following the symbol Ø (e.g., Ø67 means a 67mm thread). Select the filter variant with the same diameter.

Why Use a Protective UV Filter

The UV filter serves a dual purpose: it filters ultraviolet rays (reducing atmospheric haze and blue tones, especially at altitude or near the sea) and, more importantly for modern digital cameras, naturally protects the front element of the lens. A scratch or impact on the filter means replacing a cheap filter, not the entire lens. The filter remains permanently mounted as a protective layer.
