The OBD2 automotive diagnostic cable connects between the vehicle’s diagnostic port and the diagnostic tool to check OBD connection communication and signals. The LED indicators show pin power and protocol activity, while the external power function keeps the ECU active during battery replacement to help prevent data loss.
It supports individual pin testing to diagnose voltage issues or faults and, with suitable adapters, connects vehicles with an OBD1 connector to an OBD2 diagnostic tool. For external power, connect a portable battery to pins 16 (+), 4 and 5 (ground). It does not function as a standalone automotive diagnostic tool.
