The Trekmates Midge Head Net is an extremely lightweight and dense protective mesh, specially designed to fit over a hat, offering complete coverage for the face, head, and neck. It is ideal for hiking and camping in areas with a heavy insect presence, as its special weave stops even the smallest midges.

  • High mesh density: Features approximately 950 to 1000 holes per square inch (or 288 per square centimeter), preventing even the smallest insects from getting in without restricting visibility.
  • Adjustment system: Includes an elastic drawcord with stopper at the base of the neck for a secure fit and sealing against crawling or flying insects.
  • Compact design: Weighs only 25-40 grams and compresses to a minimal size in its own waterproof stuff sack, so it can even fit in a pocket.
  • Size: Available in one size (One Size) for adults, designed to be comfortably worn over jockey-style hats or wide-brimmed hats, so the net stays away from the skin.
  • Material & Color: Made from fine, durable polyester in black, which reduces sun glare and provides better visibility.
