Drontal Puppy 50 ml is a suspension for the treatment of infections caused by nematode worms in puppies.

COMPOSITION: 1 ml of Drontal Puppy suspension contains Febantel 15.0 mg and Pyrantel embonate 14.4 mg.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES: The two anthelmintic agents in the suspension act synergistically. Febantel affects the parasite’s metabolism, leading to the destruction of the worms. Pyrantel embonate inhibits neuromuscular functions, causing paralysis of the worms.

INDICATIONS: Drontal Puppy is effective against nematode worms in puppies:

• Roundworms: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina.
• Hookworms: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum.
• Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis.

The product is not effective against tapeworms. For their treatment, Drontal Plus tablets are recommended. If infection occurs in utero or through lactation, treatment can start from 14 days of age and should be repeated after 2 weeks. The parasites are destroyed 2-3 days after treatment.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Administer at a dose of 1 ml per kg of body weight. The suspension can be mixed with the animal’s food or administered directly using the bottle’s dosing pump. One press of the dosing pump releases 1 ml of suspension. No special diet is required. Shake the bottle before use.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: None known.

SIDE EFFECTS: None known.

PRECAUTIONS: In the days after treatment, disposal of feces and disinfection of the environment are recommended. Children should be kept away from the animal. The medication should be administered by prescription.
