CYNKAL acrylic primer-semi-topcoat 0.7L Yellow
CYNKAL is an acrylic primer-semi-topcoat designed for painting surfaces made of steel, galvanized iron, cast iron, and light metals (such as aluminum, copper, brass). It is based on an acrylic copolymer modified with adhesion promoters, providing excellent adhesion to all types of substrates.
CYNKAL contains next-generation corrosion inhibitors that chemically bind corrosion products, ensuring excellent anti-corrosion properties. It also includes small amounts of alcohol and its derivatives to facilitate the penetration of the paint into corrosion products.
CYNKAL bonds physically and chemically with rust and metal substrates. It has high resistance to low temperatures, corrosion, and UV radiation, maintaining color durability. The product is free from chromium and lead compounds and is easy to apply.
Purpose of Use:
CYNKAL is intended for painting clean (e.g., after sandblasting) or partially cleaned corroded elements made of steel, cast iron, galvanized steel, and light metals (aluminum, copper, brass, etc.). After drying and bonding with the substrate, the first coat acts as an excellent primer for subsequent coats of CYNKAL or other solvent-based paints and fillers.
The application of 2-4 coats of CYNKAL provides corrosion protection and an aesthetically pleasing coating. Like other paints with an acrylic binder, CYNKAL can also be used on wood, concrete, cement fiber, and other porous substrates.
CYNKAL is used primarily as a primer-semi-topcoat, but it can also be used as an anti-corrosion primer under other paints or as a semi-topcoat for repainting existing coatings. For medium-term protection, a minimum dry film thickness of 150 microns is required. For long-term protection, the coating thickness should be increased.
CYNKAL is often used where technical or economic reasons prevent extensive surface preparation by sandblasting or when partially well-adhered corrosion products and old coatings remain after mechanical surface treatment.
CYNKAL offers measurable economic benefits by reducing the need for extensive mechanical or chemical surface preparation before painting.
Like most paints, CYNKAL is resistant to temperatures up to 200°C; however, discoloration of the coating may occur. The addition of reactive cross-linking resins increases the hardness of the coating and prevents streaking at temperatures of 130-140°C.
