Acrylic Primer-Paint CYNKAL 2.5L Aluminum
CYNKAL is an acrylic primer-paint designed for painting surfaces made of steel, galvanized steel, cast iron, and light metals (such as aluminum, copper, bronze). CYNKAL is based on an acrylic copolymer modified with adhesion promoters, offering excellent adhesion to all types of substrates. It includes modern anti-corrosion additives that chemically bond with corrosion products, giving the paint excellent anti-corrosion properties. CYNKAL contains small amounts of alcohol and its derivatives to facilitate the penetration of the paint into corrosion products. It forms physical and chemical bonds with rust and metal substrates.
CYNKAL has high resistance to low temperatures, corrosion, and ultraviolet radiation. It retains its color durability and does not contain chromium or lead compounds. It is easy to apply.
Purpose:
CYNKAL is intended for painting clean (e.g., after sandblasting) or partially clean elements affected by corrosion and made of steel, cast iron, galvanized steel, and light metals (aluminum, copper, bronze, etc.). After drying and bonding with the substrate, the first coat acts as an excellent primer for subsequent coats of CYNKAL or other solvent-soluble and chemically active paints, as well as fillers. Applying CYNKAL 2-4 times provides corrosion protection and an attractive surface.
Like other paints with acrylic binders, CYNKAL can also be used on wood, concrete, fiber cement, and other porous substrates. It is mainly used as a primer-paint but can also serve as an anti-corrosion primer under other paints or as a varnish for renewing existing coatings.
For medium protection, a minimum dry film thickness of 150 microns is required. For long-term protection, the coating thickness should be increased.
CYNKAL is often used when, for technical or economic reasons, detailed surface preparation by sandblasting is not feasible, or when mechanical surface treatment leaves partially adhered corrosion products and old paints. It offers significant economic benefits by reducing the need for extensive mechanical or chemical surface preparation before painting.
Like most paints, CYNKAL is resistant to temperatures up to 200°C; however, possible discoloration of the coating may occur. The addition of reactive cross-linking resins increases the hardness of the coating and prevents streaking at temperatures of 130-140°C.
