CYNKAL Acrylic Primer-Enamel 0.7L
CYNKAL is an acrylic primer-enamel designed for painting surfaces made of steel, galvanized steel, cast iron, and light metals (such as aluminum, copper, brass). It is a primer based on acrylic copolymer modified with adhesion promoters, and is characterized by high adhesion to all types of substrates.
CYNKAL contains next-generation corrosion inhibitors that are chemically bonded to corrosion products, providing the paint with excellent anti-corrosion resistance. It includes small amounts of alcohol and its derivatives, which facilitate the penetration of the paint into corrosion products. CYNKAL binds physically and chemically to rust and metal.
In addition, CYNKAL has high resistance to low temperatures, corrosion, and UV radiation. It retains color durability and does not contain chromium or lead compounds. The paint spreads easily.
Purpose: CYNKAL is intended for painting clean (e.g. after sandblasting) or partially cleaned elements affected by corrosion, made of steel, cast iron, galvanized steel, and light metals (aluminum, copper, brass, etc.). After drying and adhering to the substrate, the first coat forms an excellent base for subsequent coats of CYNKAL or other solvent-based paints and fillers.
Applying CYNKAL 2-4 times provides corrosion protection and an aesthetically pleasing final surface. Like other paints with an acrylic binder, CYNKAL can also be used on wood, concrete, cement fiber, and other porous substrates.
CYNKAL is mainly used as a primer-enamel but can also serve as an anti-corrosion primer under other paints or as an enamel for repainting existing coatings.
For medium-term protection, a minimum dry film thickness of 150 microns is required. For long-term protection, the coating thickness should be increased.
CYNKAL is commonly used in cases where technical or economic reasons make it impossible to fully prepare the surface by sandblasting and when partially well-adhered corrosion products and old coatings remain after mechanical surface treatment.
CYNKAL offers measurable economic benefits by significantly reducing the costs associated with mechanical or chemical surface preparation before painting.
Like most paints, CYNKAL is resistant to temperatures up to 200°C; however, discoloration of the coating may occur. The addition of reactive cross-linking resins increases the hardness of the coating and prevents the formation of spots at temperatures of 130-140°C.
