Vertical Blinds - Vertical Curtains
How We Measure
A characteristic of vertical blinds is that they are ideal for applications with great height.
When the window has a recess:
- We measure the entire width inside the recess and subtract a small gap from each side of 0.5-1cm.
- We measure the entire height inside the recess and subtract 2-3cm from the bottom so that the blinds do not touch the floor.
For a Simple Window:
- For the width of the window, we add 5-10cm on each side for sufficient overlap.
- For the height of the window, we add 5-10cm at the top for the supports.
- At the bottom of the window, we add 5-10cm to account for any obstacles.
If the window opens inward, calculate extra additional width on the handle side so that the blinds gather on the outside.
The same applies to balcony doors as for simple windows, with one difference: from the total height, subtract 2-3cm from the bottom so that the blinds do not touch the floor.
Direction of Blinds
- The blinds gather on the opposite side where the window handle is located.
- The control is placed on the same side.
Notes:
